This restaurant is so beautifully decorated over Christmas it is absolutely picture perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here however found that front of house could’ve been a lot more organised as we waited a long time outside along with a queue of people despite the fact that we had reservations. 1 of my sides arrived after we had finished our meal so it was kindly deducted off the bill without us mentioning. Sadly I would have to agree with some of the recent reviews here and mainly elsewhere (that website about trips advice) that this restaurant seems to have lost its way recently. Had a lovely meal here a few years ago but I visited again recently (before lockdown) and we had to wait out on the street in the cold for some time despite having a reservation. We were placed very close to other people on a table. Not appreciated with the cost of eating in this restaurant. We were so close it felt as if we shared a table with them, so could not enjoy
Staff Generallt seemed upset by our presence. It was hard to get their attention to order drinks, eat or pay the bill. The food was nice, but it ended quite uncomfortable, as the staff had the feeling of being there.
Disappointed by my first experience. They obviously had supply issues behind the scenes. Can’t fault the waiter waitress that served us. Food was excellent. However, bar staff surly a smile wouldn’t go a miss. A bit hard work.
