We have been a few times to the Blue Legume. It is great to catch up with friends and their kids if not too big a group. The conservatory extension at back has more space for single buggies. There is a good range of brunch food reasonably priced, healthy fresh juices and smoothies and soya cappuccino and mocha for those lactose intolerant people like myself! There is a good kids menu too. Service can be a little slow... View all feedback.
What Alessandra Beer doesn't like about The Blue Legume:
Great little place for brunch on any day of the week in Islington. Sit at the back if you can the skylight makes it bright and warm. Lovely decor. The food was really great with lots and lots of vegetarian and vegan options. No more expensive than anywhere else. Book ahead if you can as at the weekend, by 11am, there are queues going way out the door. Booking doesn't mean that you don't have to queue though as we had... View all feedback.
So a great visit! I visited and thought only for the Benedikt eggs, and what a great idea it was. the place is exceptionally decorated. great place for a quick bite
The first place I visit for an breakfast for an English breakfast when I walk in london. surely one of the most beautiful places to spend a Sunday morning. the chickpea burger thing that they sell at the counter is amazing, their orange, ingwer and carrot is amazing and they do not have to leave the place, with the tasting of their banoffeee pie .. oh and their chicken sausage breakfast is good. their smoothies and bangermaic with last and last of gravity.
We have passed the blue legume and our attention was caught by the intimate and cozy environment in the inner. the manager saw us and came out to say hi and give us a flyer that offers a glass wein free with our meal. we were sold. not necessarily because of freedom, but because he was not pressing and he seemed really inviting.
Fresh apple juice: brilliant! left and beetroot juice: umm. I would try something else. penne pasta: menu says bright cream sauce, but definitiw not easy. though tasty, far from nutritious. tertiyaki salmon salad: muy rico! very good. highly recommended. flavorful and fresh. music: s african beats. ambiente: walking terrace open and could watch passersby, but unfortunately smoke from people next door on the table inward near the front. service: standard. recommended: would come back.
Yummo!. Great breakfast, with very prompt service. had the Cumberland Sausage breakfast (plenty of baked beans! . Second time around had the Hashbrown breakie, which was more scrumptious than the previous, plenty of scrambled egg, and great hash!
