Schuhbeck´s in den Südtiroler Stuben

The restaurant received 17 Gault Millau points, but the dishes lacked finesse. The focus seemed to be on the house's spice mixtures, resulting in more of a home-cooked feel compared to other high-end establishments we have visited recently, such as Scharff's Schlossweinstube or Caminada's Schlauenstein. The service was subpar, as we did not feel welcomed or attended to. In a restaurant of this caliber, it is unacceptable for the guest to pour their own wine. Additionally, after paying the bill, we were not promptly released from our table. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this restaurant. It's possible that our expectations were too high.

The food was lukewarm. It would have been nice to have a bell, as there was quite a distance between the kitchen and the guests. However, an alternative method of communication was quickly found and worked well. The kitchen staff were excellent. Thank you.

The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance with just the right amount of decoration. The service is attentive and the wine suggestions are excellent. The dishes are exactly what you would expect from a talented chef with years of experience. My Dry Aged beef fillet with asparagus and Hollandaise sauce was perfectly cooked and delicious. The pasta dish with summer truffle was exceptional. This will definitely be a must-visit for me on my next trip to Munich.

I would recommend Mr Schuhbeck's restaurant again and again. Excellent kitchen, excellent service. We had our 39th anniversary this day and our table was not decorated accordingly.

Prices for food are top, but the prices for wine are very expensive in relation to food.
