This unassuming establishment offers up some the most authentic and delicious South Indian food on offer in London. That the prices are also so incredibly reasonable makes this place one if those gastronomic secrets you'll be proud to share. View all feedback.
What Lyda Heidenreich doesn't like about Ragam:
one of the best south indian restaurant in London. i've been eating there atleast a few times a month... When ever i feel like missing south indian food, i would go there and have lamb biriyani or paratha and kerala mutton curry. kerala fish curry with tapiocca is my favourite. staff is very friendly and polite and same everytime i go there..they have very good starters in the menu especially the masala dosa is famou... Masala Dosa was too oily Butter chicken was too sweet with added food colour
Hidden gem in London. This place was recommended to me for authentic South Indian food. For starters, their paratha was out of this world. It was both fresh and fluffy without being too oily and in my opinion is a must try. Chicken Ularthiyathu was delicious and different, definitely worth a try, although it is spicier than your usual curry. Nice environment, kind staff and clean store. Prices aren’t too bad for London either as I paid around £15 for everything.
Had really high expectations but was quite disappointed by the quality and portion of food. The ambience no doubt is excellent and the staff are nice to an extent but the food is not worth at all. It is not even close to authentic Indian food and the quantity is abysmal. We ordered three dishes and all of them were totally bland and full of oil and food colourings. What really ticked me off was the mandatory service charge with no mention whatsover of it's discretionary nature (not even in the menu or the receipt). When I asked it to be removed, the staff got rude and only took it off after I had to remind him that it's not legal to impose service charge. For all Indian customers atleast: go there for the less chaotic and peaceful environment in Central London but try the food at your own risk.
Poor customer service. Swiping while customer having food. Bad customer treating.
Lovely cozy restaurant with great veg and non-veg options.
