Have Polpo cookbook and loved food in Venice yet had never been inspired to go, looking at website. Had another look, hoping to finish off a few days holiday on a high and decided to give Polpetto it a whirl. The food was great, innovative and inspired. The octopus was sublimely cooked, the Brown shrimp Pizzetta like a Venetian Tarte Flambée Yum View all feedback.
What Andy Jäger doesn't like about Polpetto:
Disappointing. Has there been a change of chef recently? I used to go to polpetto regularly a year or two ago but I went back today for lunch and couldn't recognise anything on the menu. No maple tart for dessert for example and the waiter had never heard of it. It used to be one of their signature dishes. The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't as great as I remember it View all feedback.
Lovely authentic place. Great food and drinks and truly lovely and outstanding service. Remarkably good!
Really like this restaurant, tucked away on Berwick Street. Great dishes to share really good for vegetarians too
Excellent spot to meet up with friends for drinks, nibbles and chat. Nice staff. Convenient location.

Great service and lovely setting. Food was good if a little greasy sometimes, however certain dishes, especially steak ribbons and lambs leaf, were fantastic.
