Contribute FeedbackNeptune, nestled within the renovated Principal Hotel on Russell Square, offers a diverse dining experience marked by lively decor and friendly service. While some patrons rave about the delicious seafood platter and the attentive staff who go the extra mile for special occasions, others criticize the food’s presentation and price point, deeming it mediocre for the cost. The ambiance, while cozy and inviting, lacks a cohesive theme. Overall, Neptune presents a fun setting for a meal, but opinions on the culinary execution and value for money remain decidedly mixed.
The food was tasty with a good variety of options that weren't too complicated. I especially liked the side dishes, which were plentiful enough for the whole table to share. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. She went out of her way to make our friend's birthday celebration feel extra special. Thank you!
Lovely space but not very atmospheric. Food was tasty but quite overpriced and the dessert was inedible as tasted like garlic, presumably left in the fridge with it.
The food was mediocre and lacked presentation, but the service was friendly though disorganized. At £150 for two people, one with a single course and dessert, and the other with just one course and a bottle of average wine, the meal was expensive. The restaurant lacked the elegance and service of a 4 or 5-star hotel restaurant. Overall, I would not return.
Love Neptune beautiful dining room, amazing staff, delicious food and wines. What more could you want?!
Unfortunately, we were SOOO underwhelmed with the meal and service for Christmas. Way overpriced for what was provided!!! Also, my daughter was sick after her meal. Not recommended!!!
