I had a sweet potato stew and tried the bean burger. There were plenty of other vegan options which were clearly labelled on the menu. The food was very good. There's plenty of seating inside and out. Good value too. View all feedback.
What Numptyfish doesn't like about Negril:
OMG I went here because of the good reviews. The staff were the rudest bunch I have ever come across and rushed us through our meal for a forgotten reservation. The food was average and quite frankly for a cafe very over priced.... over 9 quid for a burger...no chips... nothing.... just the burger!!! It is always good if they have good easy eating in a garden terrace. I tried the jerk and curry chicken that just felt like she had made a oma in the kitchen. one of these places where you only feel that you love when eating just tastes so good! the place and the people working there have a fantastic informal quiet atmosphere – a beautiful break from the tensions and haste of the city when they ask me!
With increasing demand for places where to eat cheap, the crates not only delicious cheap foods, but also byob. on brixton hill, I run regularly past this place on my way home and it is quite always full, certificate for its popularity. it was good to finally be one of the insiders, instead of going jealous, trying to ignore the inviting smell!
Hidden behind shabby shops, a budget tyre outlet and car forecourt, you could easily walk straight past Negril. The restaurant itself doesn't shout come in, either. But do. If you like tasty home-cooked Caribbean food that is But before that make sure you nip to one of the plethora of shops for your drinks. There is a Sainsbury's local – as well as real local shops – selling beer, wine and rum (if you really want to get into the spirit) on the walk up from Brixton. Plus a Tesco Express the other side of Negril...
Tasty food great chilli.... Tasty food not 100% authentic=not hot enough but great chilli sauce. Try the festival. The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is always welcoming and relaxing
Brixton has amazing Jamaican food. this place was great. I recommend to try if they are in the opposite. it is quite relaxed on a weekday evening. can be busy at the weekend.
