While many diners praised the quality and authenticity of dishes such as the thali and Peshwari naan, others lamented underwhelming flavors and inconsistency in cooking. The service, however, received consistent acclaim for its attentiveness and warmth, enhancing the overall ambiance. Though some detractors were disappointed by limited options and overpriced accompaniments, many guests found it a delightful spot for a unique culinary adventure—making it a noteworthy destination for those seeking an enriching dining experience before a flight or special occasion.
I am a regular at Mr Todiwala’s and cannot recommend the place enough. Food is excellent and the staff really looked after me. Jerome, Mackanzie Nicelee went the extra mile to make our birthday celebration extra special. Thank again .
Innovative and excellent food as always, staff fantastic. I stay at the inconveniently locates hotel in preference to others just to eat at Todiwalla’s
We had the set thali which was very nicely cooked and presented. Extra bread offered part way through the meal which was good. My only criticism was the charge for the chutney tray, very small portions and not much variety for the two of us, I don’t mind paying for poppadums but please include the chutney especially as the portions were minuscule!
The food is top quality produce and the price is reasonable. I had a mix grill the meat was tender and cooked to perfection and the spices set the dish to another level. The portion was plenty. I now only have a main course I find a starter and main too much so I enjoyed the main as it's the star of the menu. The drinks are very expensive . I would go back again and definitely recommend to friends if they were go to be in the area.
The restaurant was terrible from start to finish. The food was flavourless, presentation poor and was way too over priced. Parts of my Halibut were burnt and other parts undercooked. The naan was undercooked also. Was expecting to take my partner to a great Indian and ended up with a poor meal and we were both still hungry after. There’s nothing traditional about any of the dishes we ate. Felt cheated. Didn’t even bother looking at dessert
