Last night I met Annie Jerry at the wonderful Moro, one of my favourite restaurants (click here for review). I love the informality of the restaurant – almost like a gastro pub – but also the excellence of the food with its Spanish, North African influences. It’s never failed to delight me and last night was no exception. I’d no intention of blogging – having done that before – but still took photos of my own meal to... View all feedback.
What Dominic Butler doesn't like about Morito:
I used to really enjoy going to Morito: sure their portions were dinky but their prices were not too high considering. However it seems they have now decided to recoup their losses from having to close for the last few months, and have massively increased...their prices without changing their portions. This seems really shortsighted: while restaurants have suffered through the lockdown, so have many of their potentia... View all feedback.
Disappointing experience. when we ordered our server, we insisted that we ordered more expensive dishes that were not to be used for their arrival. we booked the table, but she stabbed the bill and said we had to go now when the next people arrived. (despit, which arrives on time for booking and that we have still eaten our food). the bill was expensive, the eating was under standard and the service was terrible. never back! avoid, there are too many beautiful resturants to settle in angel.
I love this restaurant, I've been here for years. eating is delicious! but at my last visit I was upset. there was of us, one of the guests did not feel good, so he could not eat, we ordered drinks and dishes. When we were asked about the law, I was told that we had not respected the policy of the venue, to have dinner and to remember it the next time. now I have not read in the restaurant about this policy and I would be curious to know whether there is a minimum number of things to do; for the two of us had gone bad, and obviously my friend could not know that he would get sick with his likes this evening. if this policy exists, it should be explained to the customer when they sit on the table. I found this behavior to be very fussy.
Morito is definitiw not a cheap eating place, but the quality of eating is really up there. we had excellent service, in a cozy atmosphere with attentive staff. the food was really delicious. also up to olive oil for brot, which was of such high quality and so tasteful. we will be coming back
Have eaten here several times and each time when eating, service and atmosphere were amazing. I am coeliac and so need a strict gluten-free diet, and the staff are extremely well sent to allergenic in gastronomy, and they are really glued to crosscontamination. there were many options on the menu that were gluten-free and everything was delicious. they even went to the trouble of bringing me a plate of chörnern to have with a baptism at the place of brot. comes back again and again!
Lovely selection of tapas and a nice atmosphere. Great for pre-theatre (if you're heading to Sadler's Wells) and was treating busy and buzzy when we left
