We just had our wedding reception at Metro!! It was the most incredible, magical day of our life's. The venue is just perfect in every way, romantic lighting, beautiful garden area and even a dance floor at the front. The food was excellent and Fran and her staff are the friendliest, most professional team we've ever come across, they made the whole day flawless. It's the perfect place to host a wedding or party, but... View all feedback.
What T doesn't like about Metro Garden Restaurant and Bar:
The customer service cannot be faulted, the waitress was very informed about allergens, all staff were friendly which created a welcoming atmosphere. The prices shown on the menu for a roast online were different to the menu in the restaurant online-£17.50 and restaurant- £19.00. I got a roast beef which was slightly chewy and also the slices were quiet small. We also got charged for bread which should have been unli... View all feedback.
Beautiful restaurant with cozy ambiente and covered garden area. for me it was a little cool because people often walk out of the garden. eating was nice, nothing amazing, but good portions and hearty eating. it was perfect for a casual start with friends.
At £16.95 per for a frying dinner they expect something special or at least for it to be edible. I ordered the lamb, the meat was delicious, but that was it. the evening meal was served in a bowl, drown in a not particularly beautiful sweet gravur, which tasted all the same. a piece of brokkoli, 2 pastilles and a carrot and 4 stone-hard “roasting potatoes”, one could not even cut with a steak knife. the yorkshire pudding was burned up and so tender everywhere else, it was just a big disappointment. I complained politely about the kartoffels and the sweet and the amount of “gread” at the end of the meal. they said they would give it back to the cook, but no more word about it from the staff. it would have been appreciated if they were just coming back and apologized. pay attention to the broth that is brought as soon as your floor comes to the chair is for...worthy it was because it was nice, but a bit of a surprise at the end, especially given the complaining I made and the half eaten meal. my friend enjoyed his beef dinner, but the yorkshire was more a pancake than a pudding! they also overloaded on the glass of the wein I ordered with £2.50, but at this point I could not complain again, we cut our losers, feel thoroughly torn down and praised not back. that is a shame when the personal seemed beautiful and I liked the quirky decoration and the feeling of the place.
That was great. disappointingly they had to order from the valentins daily menu, which was more expensive than the normal menu!
Such a lovely place. Great food, could not fault the service they were so nice and didn’t bother us lots. If you want somewhere lovely for dinner that won’t break the bank go there
It was my first time there and I enjoyed. Delicious food, well serve. Good portions! I would go back
