Hands down the best Carbonara I had in London! The amatriciana also very authentic and the tiramisu as well. The set menu are more than enough for hungry people. View all feedback.
What Toby Owen doesn't like about Marechiaro:
We had nice starter followed by a seabass which was looking lovely however it make us so ill!!! My friend has been ill while we were paying the bill and I reacted few hours later and I had to spend the day after in bed....Need I say more? View all feedback.
We had lunch here last Wednesday and we had a great time, for under you get courses which are well cooked and delicious. But my partner always makes the mistake of going to a restaurant he's just discovered times in very very close succession. We went with a friend for lunch today and the place was very empty. They had a specials board with just items on it and no prices. I fell for it and had the black bream with spicy breadcrumbs. It was a tiny sliver of fish but it was delicious, served with a green salad but it was My starter of seafood salad comprised of one very rubbery prawn and some marinated octopus and leaves and carrot My partner's pork loin was overcooked and chewy. Our friend had dietary preferences but the waitress chose not to understand what an avocado was and said they didn't have any (there was plenty with my fish). When I asked for il conto however they waiter didn't understand. It was all a farce!! The bill came to including an extortionate ly mediocre bottle of chianti. No wonder the place is empty
Marechiaro is an authentic Italian restaurant. It is the brother of Made in Italy, Napule', Luna Rossa and Santa Lucia, other good Italian restaurants in Chelsea/Notting Hill. The food is good and they make fresh pasta, a plus! A couple of years ago they used to have home made desserts...the excellent ones from Napoli...yummy!!!!I remember going in there for a quick brunch and spending all afternoon in there....and coming out with extra Kg ! SO not good for your diet, but excellent for your senses

We booked at the last minute and we managed to find a table. The staff was very welcoming and the food was quite good. My wife had mussels for starter and Spaghetti with clams, I had buffalo mozzarella and Parma ham and Spaghetti with seafood. The...wine selection is a bit poor but most of the wines they have are of very good quality.
Italian tractor. characteristic place, really genuine cuisine and good! also excellent pizza and eggplant parmigiana.
