The food was delicious. I was pleased to see there wasn't too much choice (a huge menu is always a bad sign). I had the pho which was great. My friends had curries also delicious. Only downside the service wasn't very attentive. Took forever to bring us the bill and they didn't check up on us throughout the meal to see if we needed more drinks or anything. Really felt like we were fighting for the waiters attention w... View all feedback.
What Kimberly Thompson doesn't like about Hanoi Café:
Met friends of a friend for drinks at a very pubby pub The Owl and The Pussycat in Shoreditch one night after work and had a lovely time. However around when it became clear to me that drinks would not be evolving into food of any kind I decided t View all feedback.
Kingsland road is a hard competition for Vietnamese food. this place looks like he has a makeover and it is much more attractive. for a Friday night I found the service very slow. it took one because to get our order as bill. but the costs for this place are cheaper, then the rest on kingsland road and the eating is still so authentic. I would say that this place is a good value for money.
I love this place for years. lucy and helen are the best. can not recommend very enough.
My fav. from all places I tried along the königsstraße, I like hanoi caffe because it is cozy and easy. it does not try to be too hard to be something else....the quality of the food is on the same level as all other cafe-style places. I hope I didn't insult her with my last comment. I couldn't live with myself. if the owners of my favorite review hated me apr, big eating great price very friendly staff. does not look like a big restaurent from outside in comparison to other restaurents on the road. but eating is great. good to try
We chose Hanoi Cafe because we hadn't made a booking and the wait at Mein Tay and Viet Grill was too long, this is not the best way to pick a Saturday night dining option. The spring rolls were big, nice, and freshly rolled, however the dipping sauce seemed a little wrong, it was dense, a weird cloudy brown and it needed more lime. The fried crab was ok but a tiny serving, which I guess for is all I should expect. It tasted like fried chicken rather than crab, the crabbiness was fried out of it I guess. The betal leaf with beef was disappointing, the beef tasted old, it was even grey in colour, generally flavourless and another minuscule serving. Mains We had the Grilled Pork Bún...read more
