If you want a great experience for breakfast, I'm not sure if I would choose Habit. It's probably better than dinner. It melted from beer and was still cleaned by the celebrations last night when we arrived at Brunch at 10:30 a.m. on weekday. We were the only ones. The food was simple, but nice, like the service. This is part of the Davy Wine Bar Chain, next to Fenchurch Street Station. As such, I would have expected people in the bar on a Friday night. Instead, there was a small group watching football on TV and nothing else. We had the dining area to ourselves (no other ate there all night) and yet the burger of my companion was still burned when he was served and had to be sent back. Charming little cafe in Balham with a boutique feel.
Lavish Habit is a gorgeous cafe 5 minutes' walk from Balham station, and it doubles up as a quirky vintage-y store.
