Contribute FeedbackGalley, a popular restaurant in Islington known for its delicious seafood dishes, seems to have suddenly closed down without any prior notice to customers who had reservations through OpenTable. Many diners were left disappointed and confused upon arriving at the dark and shuttered restaurant, with no explanation provided for the closure. Despite this unfortunate turn of events, Galley was highly praised for its exceptional service and mouth-watering cuisine, including an array of oysters and a well-prepared seafood platter for two. One satisfied customer particularly enjoyed the fish platter, which featured a delightful selection of seafood cooked to perfection. However, some diners did encounter issues with the service, including a lack of attention from the staff and rude behavior from the manager on duty. Overall, Galley's closure has left a void in the hearts of its loyal patrons who are hopeful for its eventual reopening.
Lovely new spot that we were fortunate enough to check out with friends while in town.
Fish with a twist. Ok, maybe not so much a twist (I just like the rhyme), unless the twist is that it's delicious.
As a regular on Upper Street, I am always intrigued to see the changing face of its food and drink players.
I had made reservations for two dinners at Galley, only to arrive and find the restaurant closed and dark. Both Opentable and the restaurant did not provide any information about the closure, which was very disappointing. I am puzzled as to how they could have confirmed my booking when they knew they would be closed.
The restaurant has confirmed the reservation, but is currently not taking any more bookings.
