The venue is the main draw. Nice conservatory and outdoor seating. Occasional events. Food and drink are vegan. Prices were fair, and hot simple food was very filling. View all feedback.
What Joseph Thomas doesn't like about Gallery Cafe:
Such a shame as I like this venue for a good coffee and food. The person behind the counter was cold and detached, no smile, little eye contact, and made me feel like I was bothering her with my order. Unfriendly staff seems to be...an issue with The Gallery, and I can’t understand why. Please at least appear to be friendly and polite, even if you’re not feeling it. View all feedback.
Absolute must be for all who visit london, they serve a fantastic vegan English breakfast! it's really delicious!
Do not often get into london as couple, so we always research for the best vegan foods before we travel and eat. several websites had this caffe as “number 2” on their list of the best places for a vegan breakfast. there had mixed critikens and there are always idiots who post, so we thought there was a chance, so here .... “Full English Breakfast” it looked good! the mushrooms, tomato and toast were beautiful. I can accept a load, the processed sausage is bought as they are really difficult to make, but a linda mccartney sausage? they are so wide, dry and dated would they think that the big gc would upgrade, especially if it cost a tenner? the beans were quite blanching, the kartoffels also bland and the kale was mushy. what was really disappointed to us was the tasty tofu it was tasteless and the carrot could not be added (as far as we could say as it gives zero taste). I ended, so it was not a catastrophe, but very “Blande” overall. “????” it looked good to pockets of color, but completely unbalanced. the roasted ciabatta was beautiful as the gurke ‘Dip’ in the middle. the beetroot hummus was delicious as the roasted veg and jackfruit in the middle, but the rest was strange. she loves everything that is pickled, but the red cabbage was even too much for her. the falafel cakes were hard and warmed up, they were dry and quite unpalatable for both of us. If they did not know better, they would have believed that they had thrown everything they had left on a teller to fill it. overall there were some joys at this rather eclectic plate of food, but it was confusing, lost and went unfinished. “Dirty Chai” wowwee. what makes a difference a shot espresso. even if they don't like a coffee, they just try to add a twist. we will make them my new Fave look. “Juices” amazing. the green with apple, spinach, ingwer, lemon and gurke was lifting. the ananas orange and carrot a great breakfast drink. sitting in the back garden on sunny Sunday morning, the place gave a relaxed, agreed to feel from him all, but neither this, the amazing dirty chai or wonderful forces could open up for the medium (best) breakfast. unfortunately, with so much choice, we will not be back and not recommend. Sorry. updated by previous review on 2022-04-18
Beautiful place. divided the complete English breakfast and avocado on toast. eating was good (not amazing, but good). a beautiful place to be on a sunny day. there are sitting places before the caffe, but also a garden.
Beautiful brunch place with great vegan options! if they are in the opposite, I would check it.
One of those places which has been around since ever and apart from a smoothie years ago i finally paid them a visit. Had cliche avo toast, I must say was one fo the best avo toast ever! with great grilles asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes and seeds! They had a deal on pastry and coffee and that was great as well
