We enjoyed the Sunday lunch special featuring roast lamb with dauphinois potatoes. The starter salads we shared were excellent, including a tomato and anchovy salad, as well as a courgette and mint salad. What Sally doesn't like about Emile:
The starters were lovely but the mains were a little flat which was a shame. The restaurant is really sweet and good wine selection. Such a shame the waitress that looked after our table was curt and pretty pretentious. After ordering a drink at the end of our meal, she told us we needed leave in 20 mins for another booking, it was 10pm and there were plenty of empty tables so this seemed very odd. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly..really charming restaurant! We liked the simplicity of the menu and the perfectly cooked dishes!

A lovely evening. The staff were attentive and very pleasant. The mains, cheese and desert were brilliant. I would say that the starters although still very good, were not quite as good. We arrived at the start, so the room was a little cold at first but it warmed up soon and was a great atmosphere. Overall, a great place to go for a memorable meal!
