El Vino at Fleet Street - London

We had made a reservation weeks in advance for our trip, only to find upon arrival that the restaurant was closed until January 3rd. Despite receiving a confirmation request from OpenTable, I also got an email mentioning the importance of canceling if we weren't going to dine due to the tough times for restaurants dealing with no-shows. Confused, I tried calling but received no answer. I went to the restaurant and found the closed sign to be true. I even checked for another location or a second floor, but to no avail. With no dinner plans, I had to scramble to find another option. Despite all the confusion and frustration, I found it humorous that I still received 100 points and a request for a review. Lol.

The wine was excellent, but the food and service were subpar.

Poor atmosphere, we were sat upstairs alone down stairs seemed very busy Waiters seemed uninterested Card machine wasn't working I was told to take a couple of minutes walk to get cash... 12 minutes later still walking to cash point Food was nice, everything else was below average

The appetizers were delicious and they had a great selection of wines.

The tapas was great. The mains were very average and the service wasn't great. Disinterested, busy staff who were quite irritable.
