Dalchini, located in Wimbledon, is a restaurant that specializes in Indian Chinese cuisine. Despite its popularity and busy tables, some diners were left disappointed by the quality of the food. The appetizers and main courses were described as bland and not up to par with authentic Chinese dishes. However, the masala chai was also criticized for being watery and lacking flavor. Some reviewers mentioned that the portions were generous, leading to takeaway bags. While the menu was praised for its tasty options, others felt that the food did not meet their expectations. Despite mixed reviews, some diners enjoyed their experience, particularly praising the outstanding service and friendly staff. Overall, opinions on Dalchini vary, with some diners expressing a desire for improvement in taste and quality.

Nice quick service. The food and the ambience was really nice. Those allergic to MSG should inquire upfront and the chef will accommodate their needs.

“Go to” place in SW London for Indo-Chinese (Hakka food).veg Hakka noodles were a stand out.

Absolutely delicious food and the staff were pleasant. The service was fast although we did go on a Tuesday in early January. I’ll be coming back again for sure as I saw many other choices on their menu I would like to try. As a vegetarian who also doesn’t eat gluten or dairy this restaurant has a refreshing amount of choice for someone like me!

The restaurant only serves deep-fried or fried dishes, but the staff is very friendly. The food may not be to your liking if you prefer non-battered options.

Overall, the restaurant was nice, but a few dishes did not meet our expectations. However, the management was willing to let us exchange them. The starters were enjoyable, but the main dishes were quite average.
