Had not been there for a while but had an Australian guest with an appreciation for food and wine. Chose the Coq d'Argent and had a lovely experience. The theatre of the entrance, the amazing staff, extensive wine list and menu....everything delivered and my guest was hugely impressed. What Isabelle Russell doesn't like about Coq d’Argent Restaurant:
Food was ok although Steak was a little over cooked in my opinion. The booking experience was disappointed as after I booked (with credit card confirmation) I was called, emailed and sent text messages to confirm the booking constantly, both by the restaurant and OpenTable. The restaurant was half empty when we were! Really annoying! Service was slow also due to a very large group eating lunch at the same time. View all feedback.
The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere, excellent service, and a lovely outdoor dining area.
On possibly the last warm evening of summer 2023, I had the perfect dining experience on the outside terrace of Coq d'Argent. The burrata with green basil pesto was delicious, but the standout dish was the roast suckling pig, known as porcelet on the set menu, seasoned with rosemary garlic. It was a fantastic deal. The Citari Conchiglia 2021 Lugana white from the Veneto region paired perfectly with both dishes. Although my Perfect Manhattan arrived late, it was excellent and I enjoyed sipping it between courses. The service was great overall, with the sommelier constantly topping up my glass. This evening at Coq d'Argent felt like a return to pre-pandemic standards and atmosphere, making it a memorable dining experience.

Lovely eating outside with excellent food and a very pleasant atmosphere
The worst and the most unorganised service. Not one thing went right. Actually one thing went smooth, paying the bill. Terrible service that ruined all the experience considering the view was nice and food was alright. 1. No one attended to the table for 40min 2. Had to ask 3 times for still water, because 3 different staff members forgot. 3. Asked if we want sparkling water, we said yes. Never received one and had 2 of them on the bill. 4. Asked several times for the wine, was served 30 min after ordered. Haven't been attended to bottle and glasses once. 5. Took half a portion from the 2 people at the table while we took a break at the garden. (Knifes and forks not settled as finish)
