Lovely food; stand outs were ham croquetas and pulpo. Tapas is always a little pricey in london but I wasn’t disappointed by the quality here. Service was casual but appropriate for a lunchtime, not in your face attentive and we were left alone. There was only one other table dining but it was a Monday lunchtime so cannot comment on atmosphere. Our Rioja was fabulous so we had to share another bottle of course. We to... View all feedback.
What Aaron Mayr-Mauhart doesn't like about Casa Manolo - Putney:
Where do I start? This restaurant marked us down as a no show even though we attended. I got an email from open table saying we shouldn’t ever not show up. WE DID ATTEND. And to be honest I wish we didn’t. The sangria was great! The food was not so great. The pork cheeks in red wine sauce was pork in gravy ... not red wine sauce. The chorizo was the blandest chorizo I have ever tasted. We also ordered the duck leg wh... View all feedback.
A warm service and attentiveness. The tapas were beautiful and fresh, and the house wine was much better than expected. Will be back.
Where do I start? This restaurant marked us as no show, although we visited. I have an email from the open table and said we should never show up. We have ATTEND. And to be honest, I wish we hadn't. The Sangria was great! The food wasn't so great. The pigs in red wine sauce were pork in heavy... not red wine sauce. The chorizo was the best chorizo I ever tasted. We also ordered the duckbone that was all the way through pink, including the skin, we could not eat it. To round it off, it's not cheap. Please don't waste your time here. We recently moved to Wandsworth from Clapham, so we thought we were trying our next new tapas. Please don't. Let the travel adviser reviews speak for yourself.
For a start it is a rather narrow space of you have a stroller with you. You need to move tables out of the way to get a stroller through so much luck when the restaurant is full. We were lucky it wasn't. As it is on Putney High Street, parking is a lot difficult....(Not drinking so I drive everywhere)! The food was somewhat above the price for what it was....but in their defense they are on Putney High Street and the rental/business prices will not be cheap. But that's not an excuse. If you want to calculate higher prices than average prices, then your food must support it and that has failed. It is a restaurant that also sells it is vinos/jamons/cheeseses/sauces etc. and I can not help the feeling that if they get rid of the sales shelves and concentrated on the quality of the restaurant food, they would brilliantly. The location is great for passing foot traffic, but a visit can be enough for most people in view of the amount of choice in the area.
Hola! I am here several times for the excellent quality deli articles and fast service. The Jamon Iberico is the second. I went to dinner with my date and while the date itself did not go too well, we both enjoyed the food and I liked the music (Que Tama? . The staff gave me a bottle of chilled Cava to go home and drink my worries. So thoughtful! Muchos Gracias e Adios!
Although we had our booking confirmed for 8.30 on 31/12 we called on our way there to verify and were told that they were closing at 9! So basically there was no reservation and nobody bothered to let us know. Why do you take bookings in the first place when you know you won't be open for service?? This is unacceptable!
