Contribute FeedbackCafe Murano offers a mixed experience, with some patrons finding the food amazing and the atmosphere friendly, while others were disappointed by the slow and impersonal service. The interior is beautiful and the vegetarian breakfast is a standout dish. However, there were instances of long wait times between dishes and mix-ups with orders. Despite some negative experiences, many customers still highly recommend the restaurant for its delicious food and pleasant ambiance.
Very disappointing meal. The starter of buffalo mozzarella with lentils was just two ingredients put on a plate, no seasoning, dressing or flavour to speak of what so ever. The pasta dishes were fine but the pasta was really under cooked (not al dente) and the gnocchi was just mush. We had the steak and chicken milanese, which were tasty on their own but come with no sides or sauces so massively overpriced, we ordered the roast potatoes which were anaemic and undercooked, a common theme was that nothing had any seasoning on it. The service was good and the staff were friendly but the toilets downstairs had not been cleaned we had a 12:00pm table so you can’t even blame bad customers. This all came to £200 for three people with no alcohol, which left us feeling like we had been ripped off.
We stopped by Cafe Murano for a pre-theatre dinner. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and welcoming and the staff were lovely as well. We went for the set menu which is a great value for money and very tasty. Especially the ox cheek was super tender and paired beautifully with creamy polenta. Overall great Italian food with simple but quality ingredients. I recommend going for the fixed price menu if it’s your first time to try it out. It can be a bit pricey otherwise!
Great food but what's wrong with ambiance? The front waiter has a very moody and had a pretentious face, he doesn't even look at the guests. Something is missing, despite a great menu.
We returned to cafe murano last night after being asked back by the management due to an unfortunate previous experience with a pork chop. Oh my god we had an excellent meal and a wonderful evening. The staff couldn't do enough and our waiter Luciano was charming and engaging and really made us feel welcome. The food was excellent and extremely tasty. We could not fault it..my pasta was so tasty and my wife's plaice dish was a delight.. We really didn't want dessert but Luciano recommended we share the peach and almond tart and now I'm regretting not having one if my own..it was delicious. We will definitely be back when we come to London again.
