What Cristina Vélez likes about Bumpkin South Kensington:
We spent a lovely afternoon two days ago with our friends celebrating our 25 th wedding anniversary. The food was delicious, service very slick and the private room upstairs charming. View all feedback. What DavidR doesn't like about Bumpkin South Kensington:
Pretty poor service, rude waiters, bang average food (soggy sweet potato fries) and they stop doing brunch at 12 (on a Sunday? Who the hell gets up before that). Asked for a soda water and lime, got something quite different and was then charged £6 for the privilege. Will not be going back in a hurry and would advise anybody who is reading to do the same. read moreBumpkin is a restaurant loved by many for its cozy atmosphere and delicious comfort food, making it the perfect spot to combat the cold weather. However, recent reviews have been mixed. While some guests have praised the warm and inviting decor, as well as the friendly service and standout dishes such as the Toffee Pudding or the saltbush rump of lamb, others have expressed disappointment in the lack of variety on the menu, slow service, and unprofessional staff. Despite its charm and popularity with families, Bumpkin may need to address some issues to maintain its reputation as a London favorite.
My visit to Bumpkin was disappointing. As a fan of the owners' other ventures and with high hopes for this traditional British pub, I was let down by the unfrie...
