we arrived early when the place had just opened. staff were accommodating and allowed us to order food in the drinks area near the bar. staff were friendly and our orders taken quickly. tea was ordered and a large pot was given which gave me about 4 cups. breakfast was average price for central London. good was hot and good quality. I'd normally prefer a bit more but all that's just me being greedy. toast was lovely... View all feedback.
What Stephen M doesn't like about Bill's Restaurant Bar Wellington Street:
This is a picture of me getting my food but my wife not so much. The waitress had the nerve to blame her for not placing an order when she absolutely did. What she did serve was a huge helping of attitude which was totally uncalled for. If you want to experience a great pub in London, keep walking. View all feedback.
Very enjoyed my visit to this pub. A burger and a boy, oh boy it was beautiful!!! Cooked really nice and had great taste and would definitely try again. Something creepy to eat, but then good burgers can be. Ordering a large selection of drinks had a nice German beer that went very smooth with the food. Service was top notch and fast and the food came immediately and was very warm. Pretty a small dining area so likely best to choose or book a quieter time
We were very lucky to get a table upstairs where we were given a choice of menus. I had a set menu three courses for approx £22 and it was really good. Staff were also really helpful and friendly. It's a Nicholson's pub. The décor is also really nice with it's stained glass windows.
I like to review places that I can recommend to others and what I liked most about this place was the large outside area. I am a sicker for sitting outside and soaking up the local atmosphere. I'd give it a five but its reserved for excellence and the service was a bit slow but only because they were busy on a Saturday. I'm sure we can bump the rating up to a five next time I pop in for a pint.
Good food, good service. Food came out quickly and bartenders were friendly. It's a busy intersection so a great place to sit and enjoy the city vibe.
Wellington exceeded our expectations! We stayed there on Saturday afternoon and the terrace was full. The terrace is located on a very busy corner, so people watch and energy is great. Many people sit outside and enjoy their drinks and a beautiful sunny afternoon. We sat at the top in their dining room and had a nice table at the window, overlooking the terrace from above. We ordered the Grilled Sea Bass with Chorizo, grilled paprika, baby potatoes and broccoli as well as the Chicken Portabello Mushroom Pie. The cake was good, but not great... Next time I would try another cake, probably the Steak Pale Ale cake. The grilled Sea Bass was however INCREDIBLE! So fresh, light and tasteful. One of the best dishes we had throughout our journey to Europe. Wash it with a Nicholson Pale Ale and a Pimm cocktail. A real British lunch!
