Contribute Feedback What SarahM doesn't like about Balls Brothers - Mark Lane:
I had a confirmed reservation through Open Table, but unfortunately the restaurant did not pick it up in time. This left us scrambling to find another restaurant for 8 people on a Friday at 1pm in the city, which was not ideal. Thankfully, we were able to find space at Minster Court just around the corner. The staff there were incredibly friendly and understanding, and they quickly moved tables to accommodate us with... View all feedback.
We went here for lunch and ordered two hot sandwiches off of the menu. The sausage ciabatta was burnt and the toastie was ridiculously small and wasn 't worth £8. We then at the end asked to split the bill and that was apparently a problem. I asked to pay by cash and the waitress rolled her eyes and said 'just put it on the table ' no manners at all. Avoid at all cost. If you 're wanting to go to a Balls Brothers go to the one at The Gherkin.
Sonyas Sandwich Bar is the reason I like to come here. She makes delightful sandwiches! Fully filled with fresh ingredients and well presented. Perfect for any occasion.
Excellent service food and wine was just what we wanted. Great for a business lunch/evening and a good evening
I came here for dinner on a Monday night with three of my work colleagues; besides us, there was only one other table being served which should have been a warning sign. Despite the lack of guests, the wait staff was pretty bad: after delivery of most of our drinks we had to call the waitress back over after ten minutes to deliver the rest of our order, we ordered still water – and specifically requested no gas – and received a bottle of sparkling water. The food was not memorable and just average. I’m not real sure how this place stays open with the lack of customers and the lack of service, etc., would rate it as just “ok” and I would give this place a pass in the future.
Recently had our work Christmas party here. It's a nicely decorated venue, located close to a number of central stations, however the food was not amazing. Most of the vegetables accompanying our Christmas dinners were on the raw side of al dente (carrots and sprouts). The food also came out in batches, meaning that some colleagues had finished before others had started. That said, the DJ was ok and the dance floor had some good vibes.
