What U doesn't like about Balans Soho, No.34:
Considering I write reviews, you would have thought I would have read a few reviews beforehand, however, in a hurry with rain pouring and pressure to choose a place after finding out our other options had 2 hour waits, we stumbled in here. Always the best quality products and freshest food in this little touristic pocket of Soho. Been coming here for years, wonderful to enjoy watching the world go by with lovely staff and terrific food and coffee! Thanks Caselda!
I definitely recommend the Chicken and Pea Risotto. Also, the Crispy Balans Potatoes were absolutely delicious. Excellent portions in a nice area of Soho. I’ve been to No.34 Balans on many occasions and it never disappoints.
You can find here a drink at night when other places are closed. Although this, drinks are okay, but nothing special, and with standard prices for London (11£ a drink). The service wasn’t too slow, I appreciated not being pressured to take the order, but maybe a bit too relaxed for the waiting time. The menù for the restaurant side is good but with not many options for desserts. Love the cute little ketchup jars btw!
We ordered the croquettes donut chicken burger which were both very good and both had reasonable prices! Unfortunately, my friend found a piece of plastic in her burger which was bad but the staff were very apologetic about it and took it off the bill. Despite this I would definitely come back!
