that is the best persian eating all time! I have eaten many Persian foods at many places and was not impressed yet, but this restaurant has changed my mind. the court I had reminded of the home kitchen and has fine aromen that really express themselves in their tastes. also the Persian tee is tasteful and full aroma with a fresh mix. the presentation of the restaurant is very elegant and the staff is very friendly an... What Yaya S doesn't like about Anar Persian Kitchen:
I booked a table for 8 on open table and received an email confirmation. When I called the restaurant on the night of the booking to see if we could have the table earlier they told me they did not have my booking. The restaurant was booked for a private event! After much discussion they said we could sit outside on the street. They did not tell us that there is no proper seating outside and that the entire restauran... View all feedback.
There is a wide variety of food available in generous portions of high quality, accompanied by excellent service. The standout feature is the diverse selection of menu items.
We were a group of local diners in our thirties who decided to have dinner at this restaurant. Unfortunately, we were the only patrons there all evening. The lady in charge was extremely bossy, rude, and deceitful, which really marred our experience. She seemed intent on pinching every penny from us, trying to convince us to order more expensive items instead of what we wanted. When it came to ordering the cheapest grill on the menu, Koobideh, she made it difficult for us to do so, insisting on selecting our starters for us. The starters turned out to be disappointing, with bland dips and a meager serving of bread. The main dishes arrived quickly, but the quality was lacking. My Koobideh was fatty and flavorless, requiring extra seasoning to make it palatable. The salads were unimpressive, with wilted lettuce and sparse toppings. We were not offered any tap water, only overpriced bottled water placed on the table to entice us to spend more. When it came time to pay, the lady declared that we would split the bill evenly, despite the fact that some of us had drinks and others did not. She refused to provide a bill and insisted I calculate it myself, which was suspicious. After paying, we realized we were short £35 and were met with hostility and arguing from the lady. Overall, she ruined what was meant to be a pleasant evening. I have lived in the area for ten years and know of many other Middle Eastern restaurants, such as Turkish Fez, Iranian Patogh's, and Lebanese Al Arez, which offer better food at a fraction of the cost without the deceitful tactics. It's no surprise the restaurant was empty.
We went there for lunch . The good waa good . I recommend Tahdig with ghormeh Zanzibar . I had better kebideh in other resturant but the kitchen on the bone was very nice . The sever was trying to be helpful but she could not speak Persian and English was not her first language . She was very sweet and apologised for her mistakes but did get our order wrong . They fixed it fast enough but I believe the business will benefit from a Persian/ English speaking server . She told us that she had been told by the kitchen people not to accept any deviation from the menu but we were just asking for mix and match of the foods in the menu and not a massive alteration . But still enjoyed the food and if I am in the area I will go there again
This was my first time eating Iranian food, and it won’t be the last. Everything was delicious, from the Kashkeh Bademjan appetizer, which was a puree of sautéed zucchini, garlic, walnuts, mint and onion. to the mixed said with pomegranate, feta cheese, and olives, through to the Ghormehsabzi, which was a lamb stew with kidney beans and dried lime in a deep sauce made of finely chopped herbs. The lamb was fall-apart tender, and there was plenty of it. Altogether, a satisfying meal!
This was such a disappointment. The portion sizes make no sense ... lamb and aubergine stew with only three chunks of lamb and mountains of rice. Shredded lamb which turned up looking, honestly, like cat food with an accompanying sauce which was boiling hot, slightly oily and little flavour. Our starter was advertised as feta with walnuts and herbs ... well I suppose that strictly that was true, but a tiny piece of feta dumped on a plate with random fresh herbs a few walnuts, a spring onion and no dressing of any sort ... bizarre. Very shortly we were the only diners in there on a Sunday lunchtime, I'm afraid I'm not surprised.
