our group booking was automatically cancelled without notification because we hadn’t “added a credit card” or “paid deposit” but this was not communicated beforehand. ruined the evening as we had booked for a celebration. very unprofessional! View all feedback.
The restaurant is always only half full and never seems to attract a large crowd. The atmosphere is lovely and the service is great, but the menu, which features a mix of traditional Italian dishes, modern cuisine, and small portions, doesn't seem to appeal to many customers. The neighboring traditional Italian restaurants, on the other hand, are always busy and full every evening.
Pros: The crème brûlée French toast is delicious. Cons: The staff need to improve their speed and energize the atmosphere. Critique: The management seems unprofessional.
The menu at this restaurant is uninspired and lacks originality, similar to what you would find at other establishments. The service is also lacking, making it only suitable for a quick meal when staying at the hotel or nearby and in need of a table, as they are often not fully booked. Al Mare never seems to have any trouble accommodating walk-ins, which may be due to the lack of customers. The issues may stem from their employees as well, making for a disappointing dining experience.
