I had My Dinner with my colleague on last thursday. I like the food. The food was good as per my Expectations. But service was not good. This restaurant should try to improve their services.
We were staying at a hotel suggested by one of a friend which was good as well as budget friendly, but did not have a in-house eatery. After checked in to the hotel we went in search of a good restaurant that will again be budget friendly as well as good food. After strolling for long we were left with no choice and enter this restaurant. The tandoor outside caught my attention and my friend trusted my suggestion an entered. Even if a an absolute foodie, I decided to stick to normal butter chicken, tandoori and roti as it was a very new place to experiment. The food arrived, quantity seemed really good, value for money. Just when we started, it really clicked that the taste was beyond comparison. The food was absolutely awesome and we could not just stop ourselves. We ate two times everyday there for the days we were. Tandoor, kebabs and gravies is something that they master. Absolute value for money and great taste. The ambiance is not that great but staff is very cooperative. Suggested: Tandoor and kebabs, Butter chicken and Malvani chicken handi. Made our trip memorable because of the food.
Being an always crowded hill station, Lonavala does offer lot of choice to its tourists. There are Pure Veg Hotels, quality bakeries, good non-veg hotels and bars. You won’t be much disappointed with your available choices at your hands. But being a foodie, it’s always about finding one small place which will surprise you a lot.<br/ Thankfully, I got surprised this time by this really tiny place called MH-14. This place has absolutely nothing in terms of looks. No space for diners, no frills, no classy lights. It has only 6 small tables on first floor of this makeshift outlet. But one thing that attracted me towards it was the smell of delicious kebabs and tandoor.<br/ This place is very easy to find as it is on main road itself, just around the corner of Bus Stand.<br/ Among the chilly weather, it really makes your tummy ask for more once you go in this place. But only if you leave aside your expectations of good space and other so called resto prototypes.<br/ We went in and ordered specialty of the place Chicken Lollypop Tandoori for starters. Much for our surprise, it was delicious more than we expected. It was a normal Chicken Lollypop, but instead of deep-frying, it was well marinated and then ‘Tandoored’. It was cooked to perfection and with crispy covering and juicy chicken inside. Smoke of tandoor also gave it kind of kebab flavor. Overall it was a good fusion of Chinese and Punjabi food and most simplistic manner. I was happier when I realized that they have not used any artificial red color.<br/ We then ordered Chicken Tikka masala, Butter Naan and Jira Rice. Both the dishes carried on their standard of starters. Chicken Tikka was near perfect with, its gravy and tikka pieces complementing each other. Naan was also exquisite with lots of butter, sesame and coriander. Jira rice was a disappointment though as rice was well undercooked, but that was the only thing I would complain about.<br/ This place served really good food beyond our expectation.<br/ I would definitely recommend this place for the foodies who love chicken and are ready to ignore some other things for the sake of food.<br/ <br/
