I visited Subway and noticed only one person was working, but they did an excellent job handling everything on their own. The food is typically good, and the facilities are clean. The menu offers a great variety!
This location is consistently out of stock on various items. I'm not sure if the owner struggles with managing the franchise or if the employees aren't motivated due to frequent issues with their paychecks, but it's frustrating to find this place frequently lacking inventory or closing as early as 7:45 PM. It's hard to understand how a business can operate like this. Absolutely unacceptable.
I’ve never had a good experience at the Subway in Lolo, MT. One evening, I arrived around 7:50 PM, even though they close at 9 PM, and the young man behind the counter said, “Maybe I could close early if customers would stop coming in,” while his friend sat nearby eating. He reluctantly made my sandwich and the person’s order behind me. Later, when I tried to pay by card, he suggested I leave a tip, which felt inappropriate given his earlier attitude. Another time, I placed an online order around 7:45 PM, with closing time still at 9 PM. When I got there, the employee was wearing basketball shorts and cleaning with two friends. After 15 minutes, he hadn’t checked our order. My husband noticed the order chime had been going off for a few minutes, and when the employee finally appeared, he sarcastically told the machine to “shut up.” My husband then had to wait while the employee made our meal. I get wanting to close early, but more than an hour before closing time feels unreasonable.
I visited Subway recently and saw a young employee who seemed really stressed. I felt sorry for him, so I gave him $20 because he made me a fantastic sandwich. The restaurant itself is nice, and the atmosphere is great too.
It’s 12 PM on Saturday the 16th. There was one guy here handling a long line on his own, constantly apologizing for the wait—I really felt for him. Then another employee showed up halfway through the rush, clocked in, and spent a lot of time retrieving a new knife and other things from the back. When he finally started helping with the line, he clearly didn’t care. He piled a whole bunch of peppers in the center of a sandwich, left it like that, then dumped a mountain of spinach on one half and just a few shreds of lettuce on the other. The stars go to the younger guy; the older employee definitely needs to go home.
