Occasionally, I would hear some... read more I've never encountered a place like this before. A friend of mine had a CB radio, and we would listen to truck drivers chatting. Occasionally, I would hear someone refer to meeting at "the choke." I later discovered that this was CB slang for a diner, and after some investigation, I learned that a diner with that name had actually existed. Curious, I looked into it and found that it was quite a nice spot with delicious food. My three friends and I enjoyed a fulfilling meal for under $20 each. There's a saying: the unique name attracted us, and the great food made us come back.

However, the service and atmosphere left something to be desired. While the food was top-notch, the waiter seemed a bit frustrated and not as welcoming as one would hope. It was surprising to hear her ask other customers to “behave,” which added an unexpected tension to the experience. I did notice a sign about being patient with the staff, but perhaps it might have been more fitting for the focus to be on customer relations. In summary, the food deserves five stars for its taste and value, but the overall experience was marred by the service. With a little attention to customer care, this place could be a true gem!

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it feel like I had been going there for years, even though it was my first visit.

We had a wonderful experience! The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the cozy atmosphere made it even better. I highly recommend it.
