Stopped in the Old Village Cafe this past weekend after 9 holes at the local golf course. It was a bit early for the pub to open (pub food), so right next door is this cafe. There was about 10 tables in this small cafe, but it was very nice, and apparently a favorable eating spot for the locals. My wife and I shared a Clubhouse sandwich and fries, and even sharing was enough for both of us. That was a full meal deal... View all feedback.

Decided to stop here for a quick bite while on a trip. Restaurant was quite dark and cool inside so we sat near the window and kept our coats on. The decorations were old style and quite nice. My wife ordered a BLT and fries...More View all feedback.
Had a good dinner here, service was good, food was fast and prepared well. Hours of operation are a bit restricted but all in all good value
Yummy beef dip quiet and enjoyable. Best onion rings ever and plenty for the extra cost. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Come from out of town and decided to stop for lunch. When we walked in the door we were shouted at to sit where we want...so we did. There was three other tables in the restaurant at the time. Took awhile for our waitress to come to us and when she did there was no greeting...at all...just ...”drinks?” So we ordered teas I asked for brown sugar if she had some. After about 10 mins I decided she didn’t have some and carried on with white sugar. A few mins later she brought the brown sugar......to the confused table behind us. After awhile more she came and took our food order.....didn’t ask what dressings for our salads or anything and was confused when we gave them to her. At this point we are starting to think maybe this is a joke or something. Our meals came after awhile and were mediocre at best. That was the last we saw of our waitress until we had waited about 10mins after our meal was finished for another waitress to finally ask if we needed takeout containers and our bill. Then when we go to pay finally our waitress acknowledged us. WAY TO LATE LADY!!! paid for our meal...did not leave a tip and will never be back! Customer service is getting way to bad these days and I won’t pay for bad service! I’ll spend my money where customers are appreciated and acknowledged!
My family recently moved into Logan Lake, and when we are too busy to cook, we go to the Old Village Cafe attached to the Lodge within the district centre. We really enjoy the friendly people (both staff and locals), cozy atmosphere, and good food. They are patient with my goofy toddler, and are fast and efficient. It's nice to relax, and enjoy it. When they're closed, the Pick and Shovel Pub shares a kitchen and menu, and lets us do take out. Love this place, homemade food, full warm bellies, and no dishes for me at home. They rock!

Apparently they serve breakfast right into the day if you are a late sleeper. There was just the one server who was kept busy, but very friendly. So, if you're not in a rush, try a lunch at the Old Village Cafe. Good food, and friendly people.
