What Peter A doesn't like about Trattoria Demi:
In town on business and visited by myself. Unpleasant greeting kicked off my experience. Was seated closest to the bathroom despite a mostly open dining room. Waited for a while and three other tables showed up. Waitress addressed every other table before mine despite me being obviously ready. Ordered a Cesar salad and cheese lasagna. Ahhh! The music…all Italian…welcomes you to this beautiful restaurant in Evanston. Pasta, pizza, zuppa, panini, insalata, dolce, vino, vino, vino!
The steak and rosemary Mashed potatoes is a great dish. Wine selection is wonderfully curated. The sauce is definitely a highlight for this dish and you won't want to waste a single drop!
Fantastic food and ambiance. The wait staff was great and very on top of everything and kind. Also, the artwork in the restaurant was stunning. Highly recommend.
