Found this place while walking in Chinatown in Brisbane. Great service and the food is very good. The staff are extremely helpful and very pleasant. Definitely recommend this place to everyone who likes Asian food. We will be back View all feedback.
What Keagan Hill doesn't like about Woka Woka:
Gentleman in glasses was the rudest waiter I 've ever encountered. My food was very late, but no apology. Instead the dish was SLAMMED down on the edge of our table as he stormed off. Before we 'd even got inside he barked SIGN! , presumably referring to...the contact tracing paperwork. Not that a signature is involved. Never again. Steer clear, plenty of friendly eateries at Warrigal Square. View all feedback.
Gosh the portions were huge making us full for just looking at them:P The baked spaghetti and pork chop simply tasted nice and well seasoned. The spaghetti was cooked al dente but given too much, for me, spoiled the dish. I could only eat 1/3 of them. The pork chop itself was a little dry but coated with the juicy tomato sauce it wasn't too bad. The roasted duck with dry egg noodle was average. Again, it a matter of not getting the proportions of ingredients correct; too much noodle and not enough sauce. Service was ok. We got what we asked for.
Great food. I had the Bbq platter which was delicious. Wait staff forgot bits of our order but rectifed once addressed. Very generous portion sizes.
Like Espresso & Matcha I have frequented all but one restaurant at Warrigal Square. I regularly walk past Woka Woka brimming with hungry diners but I have yet to walk in. Having previously read their menu pasted on the glass window I had my mind set on their $20 Wagyu rump steak tonight. We are greeted by a friendly waitress at the entrance and led to our table. Unlike some reviewers I find these waitresses happy to engage with diners and it was always service with a smile. This is a happy work environment. My girlfriend decides on a light meal of Won Ton soup noodles ($12.50). Knowing my steak meal would arrive some time after she finishes her soup noodles, I opt instead for the Hainan Chicken Rice, Soup of the Day and Green tea Combo ($14.90). The Won Ton soup noodle comes in a HUGE bowl. And we are surprised to see flat rice noodles instead of egg noodles. The tasty soup is served hot and the eight won tons are small but freshly made and delicious. She is happy with her meal but is unable to finish the noodles. Rating 4.0/5.0 My imitation Shark Fin soup is served warm. Not a great soup so I decide to leave it. The green tea comes in a tall mug with hot water and a teabag. The Hainan Chicken meal is well presented but a look at the chicken tells me it is very much overcooked. The "oily" chicken rice and ginger sauce is nice but they cannot compensate for the overcooked chicken. Rating 3.0/5.0 I see some nice meals being served to tables around me. Perhaps it was my lousy luck to order the worst meal on the menu tonight! Hahaha! Great friendly service but a pity about the food. I'll be back for that Wagyu steak soon!

This place was packed so we decided to try it out. I ordered the wagyu beef brisket with rice noodles and it was surprisingly pleasant. Taiwanese-style broth and portion size was generous. Mum had the Singapore fried noodles and she enjoyed it too. Usually Chinese restaurants use MSG in their cooking but we weren't left feeling thirsty after the meal. Quite an extensive menu too.
