What ختام السماعيل doesn't like about Sizzling Braised Pot:
The crunchy chicken was lovely, the braised chicken was full of oil and fat the braised beef and carrots consisted of tough fatty beef and one piece of carrot. I won't eat here again View all feedback.
Food was pretty good. Clean environment. Friendly staff. Portion size was a little too small. Will visit next time. The other downside was that they have all sorts of surcharges for card payments.
Really ordinary food. They were precooked, and little amount. I saw some people said the simple decor at the store, but I care more about the food. The service is ordinary too. If the chef is the boss,he has poor service. No return.
Simple decor. This is one of those no-frills eating places. The food wasn't expensive. Probably that is the reason why it was packed full on Tuesday night. Our dishes came out looking nothing like in the pictures. Pros: Braised pork ribs was properly cooked til the soft bones turned into edible joy and the meat almost melted in your mouth. Hearty and tasty. Rice noodles soup was also nice. Cons: The portion size of the braised pork ribs was quite small. It was sufficient for me but I could see it being a problem for some people. On the contrary, the rice noodles soup was huge. Looking around the shop crowded with all Chinese people, it gave away the authenticity of the food. When they ask if you like your food spicy, please consider this; if you are used to Aussie medium, you will need to tell them somewhere between "a little bit spicy or mild". Their medium will make your nose run just like mine did. (Medium for the rice noodles soup was okay tho.) Yep! Will go back for more.

Very nice customer service from the cashier. Food was fantastic and cooked to absolute perfection and the texture of the chicken was transcendent. Atmosphere was quaint, like a small eatery straight from a classic Chinese wuxia film.
