My daughters and i had a wonderful high tea here. The staff were lovely and friendly, very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. A beautiful choice of home made cakes and very delicious warm scones and jam. All served with the most delicious toasted club sandwich we have tried. Definitely worth the very reasonable cost and would visit here again. Pic is just a small sample of the tasty delights View all feedback.
What shanaealisa doesn't like about Kafe Cafe:
My friend and I waited an hour and 15 minutes for beans, bread and an egg. The egg came out raw and had to be taken back. Cafe was not busy at this time. Coffee was good but that’s about it. View all feedback.
While waiting 40 minutes for the movie to start we adjourned to Kafe Cafe. The new owner took over 18 months ago with a new barista. I ordered a cappuccino and croissant. A sip of the coffee surprised me, hot and full of flavour. Yum! When the waitress came around I ordered another cappuccino with hot scones. Yum again! I was told by the owner the coffee is Coffex from Melbourne. Will be back!
Heard this place does crepe cake so went to try it out. Unfortunately they only had one flavor available, the strawberry one and I was hoping to try taro or green tea but the strawberry was still good: light and creamy. For my personal taste it wasn't quite sweet enough but others may find it good. Also had a matcha Latte. My friend had the matcha roll cake and it was so cute with a heart in the middle! Hopefully next time they'll have now crepe cake flavors available. Really friendly staff :) high chairs provided instagram.com
Straight in the middle of Sunny Park shopping center, this looks like something out of a TV show where they are giving the most generic name possible as a way to avoid copyright while also giving what a cafe itself looks like. That might put into perspective what it all up is - if that makes any sense to you. It possibly has its fans out there, or it is seen as reliable, but it will definitely be getting lost in the shuffle since it is near Brisbane's richest area of good eats. The usual weekend shuffle, grocery shopping and other errands. You know all that. Usually what happens with my dining buddy and I that this is done in conjunction with finding another place - usually one to do coffee. That is basically it with this place. We are ALDI sort of guys (cheaper and more efficient), and some Aldis are better than others - this one in Sunnybank's Sunny Park is a tad cheaper, is a little further than some others, but works out in the end (dirt cheap fresh produce is nearby). That leads us to here, where this small place is right outside. That was more or less why it was chosen, nothing really else. And that about sums its place up, convenience above a pilgrimage of choice. Now, credit will always appear where credit is due. The design of the place is nice. Sectioned off in the middle of the mall, what helps in part is the mall is one of the better looking ones - if not an ostentatious one - that is around town, with a good choice of granite on the floor. The seating is also nice, having chairs that are soft and comfortable. The actual cafe part has gotten good quality materials to build it, plus it looks like it was designed with foresight, and not just slapped in the middle. That made quite a bit of difference to the overall aesthetic. Service is decent. Nothing too much to stand out, the orders are done efficiently. It is the classic counter service kind, going up to order and getting a table. This is one of the most lax that I have yet seen, going at a pretty slow and relaxed pace outside of getting the grub. When it comes to the menu, this is a bit like a standard cafe. It contains a small selection of all-day breakfast items with many basics, then a few sandwiches and burgers. Of course, in the cabinet are the sweets as per usual. This gets a little strange, having a deep fry section possibly to appeal to the little kids. Let's also not forget the drinks - usual things really. Sodas, milkshakes, coffee, tea, frappes. Again, they are pleasing an audience here if anything. It also has some specials up, and one of them was a butter croissant with a choice of either tea or coffee. That is what I chose, and it was with the usual doppio. If reading comments of Ronnie's review leads me to be correct, the coffee that they use here is from Coffex. Well, that is not one of the best around, and appropriately, the coffee here is merely alright. It was competently done, and not too hot, sour or burnt, but it was not memorable to say the least. On the side though, the butter croissant was good as it needed to be. It was sliced in half, toasted a bit more than lightly (it was just crisping up) and a good amount of butter was put on both halves. You could almost see the butter dripping off the pastry. Crispy, moreish and simple - good enough as a croissant. It's just, it. There is nothing overtly awful with it (although it is fairly on the bland side), but it does not have anything that I would point to about it that sets it distinctly apart from other competition - nearby or otherwise. In the end, it is okay as a place to get a coffee and meet up with people. I have no real beef with it; overall though, so many other better places are literally out the door.

I will admit I only went for the crepe cake and I will admit that is the only reason I will go back. We tried the taro and the matcha. The matcha was disappointing with not much matcha flavour. The taro however was perfect. They also do vanilla and chocolate so I know what I'll be back for!
