Martinerhof - Lofer

WE visited here about 5 years ago and had such terrible service it's taken this long to go back. It has much improved and seemed popular with locals mainly eating pizza which it seems to specialise in. Ours was good but not outstanding. Service was swift and friendly but we were charged for a beer we hadn't ordered. The error was corrected with much apology but it would have been easy not to have noticed. Worth a try if you're in the area.

Good food. Dinner was typical Austrian fare although they seemed to also specialize in pizza. Good service and are used to tourists (they speak some English) and don't blink when presented with American non-chip signature credit cards.

Die 3 Sterne sind mehr als verdient.Sehr saubere,helle Zimmer.Jeden tag werden die Zimmer sauber gemacht.Der Service 1 A,sehr viel Auswahl beim Frühstücksbufett,das Abendbüfett,sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich

Als AI Gäste hatten wir das Glück, eins der schönen neuen Zimmer zu bewohnen. Nett, aber modern eingerichtet mit großzügigem Bad. Und vor allem eine ruhige Lage mit großem Balkon.Für ein 3* Haus waren wir mit allen Leistungen mehr als zufrieden. Am Frühstück wurde abgefragt, ob man das Essen1 oder 2 am Abend vom Buffet wählen wird. Eine vernünftige Logistik, die jedoch nicht bindend war. Es gab zudem immer die Möglichkeit, von einer kleinen Extra-Karte etwas a-la-card zu bestellen. Und selbst darüber hinaus gab es „Extra Würste“; vegetarisches Essen, frisch zubereitet.Die Bedienungen kommen aus der Tschechei und waren ausnahmslos höflich und zuvorkommend.

After couple days w/ german/austrian food we looked for a diversity and desited for Pizza. Bad choice! Pizza was not very good but worst of all we was seated without asking before in a shabby smoking dinner room. (We're smokers, no offend, but not used to eat in smoking room's) No CC accepted (excuse machine broken) Handwritten bill, seem's the waiter tried to cheat. It was an additionsl 50cent on each food. We deducted the amount from the tip. All in all a place to avoid.
