We visit the Southern Black Forest several times a year and always enjoy returning to the Wiikeller. As Saarlanders, we're used to good food and are always impressed by the food and service.
Wiikeller is a hidden gem.... it is hands down our favorite restaurant in the Dreilander region. The food is incredible, always local, seasonal fresh and perfectly prepared. The ambience cannot be beat. Don't even bother to try to go without a reservation and you need to make it well in advance.
I went to the Stettemer Wiikeller in Lörrach with three friends. The three of them had spontaneously eaten there the day before – without a reservation – and were so impressed that we wanted to go back together the next day. Unfortunately, the restaurant was completely booked this time. We sat outside on the terrace and wondered for a long time where we could go instead. After about 45 minutes, we simply asked again – and were lucky: the first guests had just left, and we got a table after all. The wait was absolutely worth it! The Wiikeller is a beautiful, rustic cellar with a cozy atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The prices are very reasonable, and the food was truly delicious. We had cordon bleu, spaetzle, fried potatoes, asparagus, extra gravy, and two pork schnitzels. I had one of the schnitzels – the portion was so large, I could barely finish it! I would especially like to mention the incredibly friendly and accommodating owner – she perfectly rounded off the positive impression. A real insider tip in Lörrach. I'll definitely be back!
