What E E doesn't like about Chipotle Mexican Grill:
Worse chipotle I've been to. No greeting from the employees, they mostly socialized with eachother and ignored customers. They literally only had 2 meat options available so I had to resort to something that I didn't intend to buy. I had to ask for double on everything because they are very light handed with their servings. Then there were issues with the fountain drinks. No coke available and two other options tasted... Additionally, he was speaking in an excessively loud voice, which struck me as either an attempt to intimidate or simply a sign of inexperience. He seemed to think I wouldn’t be able to hear him because of my age, which felt disrespectful. In hindsight, I should have just left at that point. When I checked out, I decided to grab a bag of their tortilla chips. There were only a few bags left on the shelf, which should have been a red flag; they were greasy and stale—clearly having been there for a while. To make matters worse, the same rude employee took his break and sat at a table facing me, staring at me for the duration of my meal. It was unsettling, and while I almost confronted him, I decided it wasn’t worth the hassle. Overall, this experience felt unkind, unfriendly, and quite suspicious, as if I wasn't welcome there. It seems that younger staff members are not being properly trained to serve a diverse public, and their lack of sensitivity and respect was off-putting. As an older person, I can say that ageism is an issue—this isn’t the first time I’ve encountered it.
The grill was out of order, so there was no steak or chicken available, but we decided to try the sofritas and carnitas, and they were fantastic. The friendly staff made the experience enjoyable, and we were able to overlook the absence of our usual steak. Everything ended up working out just fine!
This is one of my favorite spots for a burrito. The food is always delicious, and the customer service is excellent!
I hadn't visited that restaurant in a long time, but I went there the other night with my sister, and I have to say, the bowl I ordered was delicious, just the way I customized it. The only downside is that it was the same bowl I used to get before, but now it costs more, just like everything else these days.
