The portion sizes are generous, so go hungry. Our party had the mushrooms, prawn cocktails, and chicken liver pate. These were then followed by probably one of the best fish and chips dinners as well as a fantastic turkey dinner with all the trimmings. The restaurant was busy so I would recommend booking before arrival The staff were pleasant and efficient. The food was delicious and reflected the region I cannot comment on the letting rooms or campsite attached to the pub as

We had roast beef and I had creme brulee my favourite dessert and my hubby had banana bread with toffee and ice cream. I can honestly say it was the best Sunday lunch I have had in a pub or a restaurant for a long time. Despite being busy the service was excellent

We thought ahead and booked as we didn’t want to be turned away and it was a good sign to see plenty of other reserved signs on the tables as we walked in. We had food to eat back at our accommodation for the weekend so stuck to just having a main. Been a long time since I’ve had a steak and ale pie and this was a great one to have as it was packed with steak and gravy.
