Tops - Lockport

At the Carryout Café, Cathy was incredibly helpful and consistently friendly. I really enjoy her pizza.

Usually, I would give this restaurant a five-star rating, but today’s experience left much to be desired. I found myself in line behind an older woman who insisted on manually entering the prices instead of using the scanner and checkout machine. She scanned each item but seemed to have issues with the keyboard, resulting in some items ringing up at incorrect prices. For example, my grapes were priced at $1.99 per pound, but she rang them up at $3.99. When I pointed this out, she became quite defensive and had an attitude, although she eventually corrected the price. This happened with every item. I prefer using self-checkout and will avoid the regular checkout in the future.

I usually prefer this store over others in the area. They have a good selection, but they lack some specialty items (like Asian, Indian, and Hispanic foods) that you can find in other markets closer to UB. What really sets this location apart is that they always have plenty of cashiers available and short lines. I dislike shopping at places that heavily push self-checkout or have long waits at the few open registers.

I bought a first-class rib pork roast August, had it tonight. No other supermarket competitor can beat Tops Markets pig. Thanks Lockport Tops!

I pre-ordered a trimmed and tied prime rib for Christmas and it was fantastic.. the best prime rib I've ever made. Hats off to the Butcher block. Also had ordered a filet mignon cut n trimmed that was awesome as well it was perfect for my beef wellington. Great job outstanding meat. !!
