All love! For my Christmas dinner in 2021, I took a little bit of everything home! The food was delicious, with a rich, smoky flavor that was simply amazing. I definitely recommend the brisket—it's a safe choice that speaks to food heaven! I also brought home the sticky bourbon sauce, and it was delicious! This place serves multi-award-winning BBQ at its very best! View all feedback.
What Paul Johansing doesn't like about One Eyed Jacks:
Went there with my girlfriend. She had the pig pile plate. She says it was . As for myself I had the big jack burger. I was disappointed as it was dried out and tasteless. I thought for close to $16 for a burger they would do a better job on cooking it. Altogether it was $45 with desert bread putting plus tip. Just for lunch . For myself I won't be returning. I was in town for the holidays and received a recommendation to try this restaurant. The food was incredible! I had the Cuban sandwich while my husband had the ribs, both of which were delicious! The service was outstanding as well. Justin (or Justine?) was incredibly friendly and attentive, showing great patience as we struggled to decide what to order. We followed her suggestions and couldn’t have been happier with our choices!
We ordered a full rack of ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and pigkin, but unfortunately, everything was incredibly dry—so dry that the paper containers didn’t even have any moisture. The portions were quite small, and the barbecue sauce tasted like a mix of sweet sauce and ketchup. The fries were stale and seemed like they were a day old. This was the worst barbecue experience I’ve had in a long time. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time or money here. The photo shows a double portion of pulled pork condensed from two containers, along with what was supposed to be garlic bread and mac and cheese.
I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. I ordered the brisket, which came with cornbread and coleslaw. The brisket was absolutely delicious and so tender that it practically melted in my mouth, and the cornbread was exceptional. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable, with a casual dress code. The service was excellent, and I found the prices to be reasonable. One of the highlights for me was that they welcomed my little service dog, Alex, who is a 7.6 lb Maltese. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
This is one of my favorite BBQ places around. I?m a big fan of the Brunswick stew, pulled pork, and the pigken. The pigken is so good that it doesn?t need additional bbq sauce on it. My favorite side is the corn bread casserole- so good!
My wife and I just love this place. It's small enough so you don't get forgotten by the staff but large enough to handle company parties. The menu is simple but large enough to give everyone choices and the portions are larger enough to satisfy without feeling stuffed.
