Nice place overlooking the Lago Maggiore

The terrace was buzzing with guests but we... read more We had not really decided to have lunch but the colourful flowers were so welcoming that we decided to take a break. The terrace was buzzing with guests but we were still able to get a table with a view over the lake and the service quick and efficient. The salads were beautifully presented, very colourful with herbs from the adjoining kitchen garden as well as freshly picked flowers. The fresh fish and chicken had been expertly cooked in the special 'smoker ' at the side of the terrace. We were only sorry that we couldn 't try out some of the other dishes prepared in the smoker, they looked delicious. We were surprised to learn that they are also a hotel, lovely looking rooms a great place to completely chill out, and or explore the many walks one can take from there. Excellent value!
