What a great place to spend a cold and wet Sunday afternoon. Took a friend from WA to sample the food and beer. He was blown away with the ambience, food and beer. Buffalo wings, pulled pork and dumplings were ordered and tasted absolutely wonderful....More View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Lobethal Bierhaus:
Driving through hills and stopped at Bierhaus as we had tasted their beer (bottled) and thought it quite nice. The place was very grotty, need to dust their shelves and tables need a good clean. Beer on tap didn't taste like bottled variety. Coffee and desserts were below par and desserts overpriced. Wouldn't recommend to anyone as there are so many more lovely wineries and beer places in the same area. View all feedback.
We held a 60th birthday celebration at this restaurant on Sunday, September 25th. Alistair and Rose were wonderful hosts and their staff were outstanding. We were welcomed with a cozy wood-burning fire in a private area, and the tables were beautifully set. The food was served promptly, hot, and delicious, with generous portions. The staff was attentive and friendly. The beer flights were a hit, and the sparkling white wine was served chilled! Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant for any event or just to enjoy some beer flights. Thank you to Alistair and Rose and your fantastic team.
I have eaten at the beer house a few times in the past, and it has always been good. However, our most recent visit was exceptional. We enjoyed a delicious chicken meal under the trees in the beer garden on a lovely summer evening. A guitarist serenaded the diners, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
I must admit, I have become a regular at Bierhaus. In my opinion, there is no better way to relax on a Friday night than at this establishment. It may be a bold statement, but I truly believe it. Normally, I would opt for a fillet steak for dinner. However, tonight I tried something different from the specials menu - a local lamb wellington. The lamb was cooked perfectly, with a medium consistency throughout the fillet. It was well-rested, seasoned, and wrapped in a delicate pastry that would impress even a French chef. The jus topping was incredible. The restaurant also offers good beer, great company, and attentive service. We in Lobethal are truly blessed to have such a gem in our town. I highly recommend that those from the flat lands come and experience it for themselves.
We made a booking through Mount Lofty House and were met by Alistair who with his wife own and run the Bierhaus such a likable and outgoing man who showed us through his brewery with such passion a husband and wife team who have created...through hard work a great business. We learnt a lot about beer making and you must try the tasting paddle there are so many different types to try, we were on a three day break and we can't think of a better way to start than going to the Bierhaus at Lobethal .Congratulations and thank for the experience.Rog and Jann
It is a Bierhaus and so should be recommended for the beer, which is what I am doing We shared a Reuben sandwich and chips, the bread had been toasted so much it was nearly black and basically impossible to cut with a knife, I...ended up just scraping the ingredients from the bread, The chips looked impressive and very large, but super hot
