While some customers found the food mediocre, overpriced, and lacking in quality, others praised the delicious steaks, excellent service, and cozy atmosphere. The Sawmill stands out for its flavorful prime rib, mouthwatering ribeye, and delectable Kobe Burger, as well as special deals like Steak and Lobster Mondays. With friendly staff, an inviting ambiance, and a focus on quality ingredients, the Sawmill remains a top choice for those seeking an unforgettable dining experience. Whether it's a casual lunch or a special celebration, the Sawmill promises a memorable meal.
My wife and I went to the Sawmill to get away on a date night. I'm so glad we decided to spring for the nice restaurant. While you can't say that the Sawmill is "cheap" you certainly get great value for your money. My wife had the prime rib (which was SO tender) and I had the 10 oz ribeye with a seafood Neptune cap. My wife ordered the wild mushrooms to go with her prime rib and I'd do that again any day. The Jus that came with the prime rib was a little more bland than we'd normally like but the mushrooms more than made up for that lack of flavour. My ribeye was cooked to perfection and was crazy flavourful. Definitely going to be having it again next time. Also the Monday steak and lobster special is a really good deal. It's the same price as the normal lobster dinner so you're basically getting a steak (6 or 8 oz I think) for free. If you live in or near Lloyd...make this restaurant a priority.
Went to the Sawmill to celebrate our anniversary, with our inlaws. Two of us ordered the buffalo burger, one of us ordered a rack of lamb, and one of us ordered the prime Rib. All with a side of honey-garlic chicken wings. It was absolutely delicious, all of it! I swear their wings are the best in town. Crispy and not coated in thick breading. The lamb was cooked perfectly (medium-well), and the accompanying gravy was delicious. The burgers were charred to perfection, giving a slight burnt taste - very, very yummy! Burger's were juicy and meaty, and the bun was so on point.Prime rib was also cooked perfectly to order. Served with a HUGE Yorkshire pudding (I'm British, and I've never seen a Yorkshire pud so large!) and a demi glace that was so, so rich and flavourful it was definitely made in house and not from a packet. The house dry-red wine was very delicious and worth every cent ($3.50 a glass I think; it was one of their specials). Pleasantly surprised as many places pass off abysmal wines as their 'house specials'. Service from both Billy and Kelsey was awesome. Both very friendly and personable, and very attentive. Glasses were never empty. Food came hot. Everything was perfect. Billy had an awesome sense of humour and had us laughing several times. We came away with full stomachs and a smile on our faces! Would've tried their desserts but we had a homemade a lemon-meringue pie waiting for us at home. The Sawmill remains my favourite place in Lloydminster to dine. The food and service is worth every penny. Here's to many prosperous years ahead of them!
This is the third wine night I've been to at the Sawmill Lloydminster location and all have been absolutely fantastic! I'm not a wine drinker but will have a few sips here and there. For me the night is all about the food! Each night is themed and hosts a variety of tastes centered from a specific location around the world. I love that it takes me out of my routine and broadens my horizons to sample all kinds of foods I wouldn't normally try. I'm never disappointed and always eat more than my fill. I will be back for more.
Once again the food was amazing! We came for the wine tasting for this month and were blown away again. We really enjoyed the different French dishes. The salad nicoise and the stuffed pork. All of it was great!! The wine was also paired perfectly. The service and experience all in all was top notch! We're never disappointed when we go to the Lloydminster Sawmill
Last night my friends and I highly enjoyed ourselves sipping on wines and trying new foods. We left full and satisfied!
