Went for an early dinner as most of the well known places are not opened until 8.00pm as the locals have late lunches and late dinners. The roaming chef of Rest... read more Went for an early dinner as most of the well known places are not opened until 8.00pm as the locals have late lunches and late dinners. The roaming chef of Restaurant Gaudim goes around recommending dishes to unaware customers, which are not on the Menu. Beware ! I had the Tuna Steak which was a small serve and cost €34.00 you can get it at approx. half the price at some better restaurants. Also, I had the house red wine which was not great and gave me an upset stomach that night. We enquired about the seafood paella which was €22.90 x2, as it was for a minimum serve for 2 people. Luckily we did not order this as our next table did and it was just a normal sized serve as other places. For more authentic Catalan dishes and at very reasonable prices, you should try : 1. La Palmera and 2. Senyor Parellada You will come out of the above two restaurants feeling very satisfied and not ripped off. The above restaurants are only opened for lunch from 1.00pm and dinner from 8.00pm. If you are prepared to pay €34 for a tuna steak, then try Restaurant Hofmann, which is a 1 Michellin Star place only opened from 8.00pm. Hope this review will prevent other tourists from being ripped off. Thanks.

Vam anar a sopar a gaudium la nit del 23 de juny, in the middle of a st. joan, amb petards exploitnt a few meters of the nostra taula. the chin to l'aire lliure... read more Vam anar a sopar a gaudium la nit del 23 de juny, in the middle of a st. joan, amb petards exploitnt a few meters of the nostra taula. the chin to l'aire lliure, to certa distància de la cuina, pot to become a problem amb the temperature d'somes plats. the letter of tapes és prou elaborated i els nostres plats van estar molt bons. the menu solament s'ofereix quan tots els comensals de la taula el demanen. the servei molt correcte però will donate the impressió that to the cuina hi fova personal, ja que els plats no van sortir tots junts. the relació qualitat-preu, sent bona, would be a million if some ratios no fossin simplement tant jotes. finalment, in the country d'orígen del cafè irlandès mai me l'han servit amb una palleta. quan tingui l'ocasió de tornar-hi attempté provar un dels seus dos menus.
