An excellent meal in the garden at a wonderfully warm and welcoming restaurant. Paula’s passion and joy is expertly expressed in her delicious cooking. A highly recommended surprise!
My husband and I had dinner here mid September and it’s one of the best restaurants we have experienced. We are massive foodies so expectations are high, and this restaurant did not disappoint . We went on the tasting menu and every course was simply perfect. The service was impeccable. From the home made crisps to the sashimi, we were blown away. The outdoor dining decor has a great feeling too.
Gioia is simply marvellous. Not only for the incredible cuisine as the owner is a real star chef. Not only because the atmosphere is friendly but sophisticated, romantic but sincere. Not only because there is a beatiful garden where to breathe and sometimes listen to nice jazz music. This place is a must-see for the food and the high-level performance of the kitchen team. Any plate is a surprising taste, the chef is underestimated from my point of view! Worthed a try any place on the Tuscan coast you are :

Livorno is my hometown and I 'm always proud to declare it to my friends and clients, and being a personal concierge and a vacation consultant has its responsibilities : So what I 'm going to write about @gioia is not only about the restaurant but also about a city that welcomes new project and lifestyle. Gioia is just around the corner from my Mom 's house and it was easy for me to get there , I knew that Restaurant before it became Gioia and I was curious to try what at the very first sight was completely different as interiors and menu. So three lovely ladies arrived on a rainy saturday night at Gioia 's ,sitting in its functional, modern and comfortable room. No, this is not the place for cacciucco or spaghetti alla marinara, at Gioia 's you have to leave the traditional cook behind you and discover what the Cuoca Paola has in mind for you and for her Gioia (joy .
