What User doesn't like about Frightnight Comedy Restaurant:
There last night for work Xmas party, food was edible, show was very funny in parts and yes a tad vulgar.Performers work hard with audience participation and overall I enjoyed the night out(think the alcohol helped)The bar we where being served from ran out of ice and staff made no attempt to get any more from the club, the venue is not the least bit frightening with no attempt made to make the place scary like the old... Sadly not the worst company Christmas party venue we've had, but definitely in the bottom three. Now based at Cabramatta Bowling Club. The show catering was truly awful which is a tragedy as the food in the main bowling club appears to be an interesting, extensive and very reasonably priced mix of Vietnamese and Australian food which I will definitely be revisiting. But back to Fright night. Stale bread rolls, carrots, broccoli, overcooked chicken wings, some kind of watery beef and carrot stew, rice, new potatoes and a pasta bake. And the food was the best part. The show began with jokes so crude all you wanted to do was leave. Members of our group were quite visibly shocked and offended and many ended up spending the evening chatting outside rather than stay for the show. The four guys in the show performed various jokes and songs. They only good thing I can say is they can hold a tune and some of the jokes, when they get away from the vulgarity, were good. There was a joke section about OHS and slip and slides which was good. You wonder why they have to resort to endless jokes about sperm, sexist and homophobic comments and swearing to be funny. One poor woman who was dragged up onto the stage ran away again when one of them started gyrating over her. It was also too loud and there was one table so close to a speaker that nobody could sit at it without permanently damaging their hearing. I was looking at my watch and wishing the evening away. I have no idea how they stay in business. I wish whoever booked this had read the other trip advisor reviews first because they are pretty consistent. Having said all that, some of our group actually liked the show! There's no accounting for taste.
Let me start by saying best part of the evening is the end if anyone is able to remain past the first ten minutes. The meal is inedible old and stale slightly better than the entertainment. Worst decision ever to attend. When the actors aren't being rude and alienating people it was somewhat tolerable at best ....... The jokes where old and not remotely funny
If I ever go there again it is because someone has kidnapped my children and threatened to kill them if I didn't. The food was dreadful. The staff rude and I left before the show started. It was the smartest decision I made all night.
Pure terrible in every regard. Please avoid this place like Ebola! The jokes were as stale as the food...
