Rocky's Pub - Liverpool

My friends and have family have been come to a pub at this location for many years, even prior to being Rockys. Since becoming Rockys everything is WAY better. The cooks, the bartenders, and just about everything food we have ordered has been good. Greatplace to go and get cold drink, great pub food and friendly service. If your in the area definitely give it a shot.

Everything on this menu is delicious. Everything we ordered exceeded our expectations. The place is more of a bar atmosphere, but definitely a place that a family can go to and enjoy some really great food. And our server did an awesomejob, we had a large group and we showed up late... but she did an amazing job as well as the cook, and got everything correct.

Service was passable, food was fairly edible, but Sunday night seems to be townies only. I was passing through and I maybe should have passed by.

When we came here it?s was mid afternoon about 3 and we just sat at the bar. Let me tell you the food is amazing and they give great portions. I definitely recommend trying the poutine if you like that kind of stuff because it?s awesome. The drinks arepretty good too and they?re not super pricey at all in my opinion. Between 2 people we ordered an app, 2 entrees, 7 drinks and 2shots and we spent less than $100 with tip. And i always tip well so that tells you something. The people there were allregulars but they started talking with us almost immediately. The bartender Kay was really cool and not overly fake nice to us.I?ve heard bad things about the nighttime crowd but when we went it was great so maybe there?s a time for everything.

Part of a strip store front, coming from the wrong direction it's easy to miss. The inside has a nice area of tables with a horseshoe bar in the middle; as well as an area to flex for darts, dancing, or a live band. Sitting at the bar I receivedprompt service, able to receive a glass of beer from the 4 options on tap as quickly as I got a menu. As far as prices go, Imay be slightly out of touch with standards in the area, but I felt as though everything on the menu each cost about $2 morethan they should. I ended up ordering a pint off the tap $6.50) their traditional wings in Buffalo sauce 12 for $14) and aside of fries with queso $4 $2.50). The fries actually had a crisp quality that made me regret the queso they were drenchedin, if it had been on the side I would have been happier as the queso was quite good. Certainly worth it. The wings were fairlycrisp, but nothing special. The sauce had a good flavor. There isn't much to say here, they were passable wings. If they'd costa couple dollars less I'd have probably been more enthusiastic. I'm still giving the location 4 stars because it's just got theright feel for a place to relax a bit after a long day. The other patrons were lively without being disruptive and added a niceambience to the meal.
