This café is located within the Anglican cathedral. It is an impressive space in a grand building. There is also outside space with good views across the cathedral grounds for the better weather. It is necessary to order at the counter and the food or... View all feedback.
Visited for lunch with my sister and niece. Two of us had scouse and the other had gammon. The scouse was delicious, bread that comes with it was lovely. My niece really enjoyed her gammon, I've never seen gammon as thick . Service was quick and efficient. Will definitely be visiting again
Private event on Saturday evening in the main space of Liverpool Cathedral. Setting amazing, service superb, food fabulous. Staff delightful. If you want a never to be forgotten experience give this a try.
My wife and I met up with friends for lunch yesterday. Two of us ordered the fish chips, while the other two ordered gammon chips. The fish chips were spot on, but unfortunately the gammon steaks were full of fat, and appeared to be undercooked. When asked by the waitress how are food was, my wife mentioned the gammon. She said she would pass her comments on to the chef. Now my issue is why ask how our food was, and pass those comments on to the chef, but then fail to return with any feedback? We stayed on long enough as we ordered coffee’s, so they had plenty of time to do so. The upshot of this is that for a long time we’ve highly recommended the Welsford to this particular couple, but now I doubt any of us will be returning. We understand that occasionally the quality of food can be compromised for many reason’s, and we’ve factored that into account in the past when we’ve been given a satisfactory explanation, which means we often return to give a place a second chance. Perhaps in the future you will review your actions when you get poor feedback, rather than leave customers totally dissatisfied?
Now called The Welsford Bistro, this was a welcome stop for a drink and a snack while were exploring the vast Liverpool Cathedral. The coffee was good and the cakes were delicious. There was plenty of seating, both inside some tables being in alcoves) and outside, although you would need warmer weather than we had to venture outside. After placing our orders, the service was quick and efficient. The prices were very reasonable £10 for two cups of coffee and two large slices of cake), especially given the surroundings.
Went yesterday with my sister as I had been raving to her about the scouse, it was ****** awful the spices in the scouse was so overpowering.Completely ruined the meal, so disappointed won’t be returning.
