It was a while since we were here last, outside with friends last night and they had a new menu and the meal was amazing, beautiful location and our waiter, Richard was nice and very courteous, would definitely recommend View all feedback.

Just been for a child free, evening meal date night …. Similar views to most others, the staff have had a shocker !! Took ages at every stage including a ridiculously long wait for the bill when we just wanted to go home at that point !! Such a shame, gorgeous grounds and building ok food but let down by comically slow service. View all feedback.
Great place to sit outside, with covered tables and outdoor heating. The staff is friendly, the food is good! Food in the indoor area is now also available; when we visited a warm day, the front of the restaurant was open for fresh air.
Went here for our Sunday dinner with our mum. Fantastic menu and great prices. Staff were lovely and helpful. You can dine inside or outside. Brilliant food, our mum’s 88 and she loved it
Nice atmosphere and good service. Went for breakfast after dropping my daughter off for her first day at school. Ordered eggs benedict with sausages and a flat white. The coffee was good but not the best and came quickly. The sausages where of good enough quality to satisfy but only good enough to go in a butty, not by themselves. The eggs benedict itself I can only give a 5. The the hollandaise was amazingly rich but lacked a tang note at the end. This just highlighted what was lacking in the other ingredients. The eggs whilst being well cooked, lacked a real eggy flavour, the muffins had little flavour were very closed texture and crunchy. (mcdonald's muffins are far better) the ham was ham not bacon or parma ham as it should be but it was thin low quality and grilled! It should be whiltshire thick and room temperature. This led to a total lack of balance in the dish.
Overall fantastic visit!!! Salt with a side of soup was very tasty. Enjoyed getting up from my table on multiple occasions to ask for the same drink; didn 't realise staff knew I had a certain amount of steps to get in one day to hit my daily goal. Thought it was a very nice touch when I was told that a drink on the menu which I ordered wasn 't available so I ordered another and then was told later they did have it but didn 't give it to me. Not too sure on that one. But the suspense of it all was enjoyable. Thought it was quite funny when I explained to the bartender that we were missing a drink and he said 'I don 't wait on tables '. One star given because of how beautiful the building was (nothing the staff could do there to mess that up) and another given as a sympathy star to the manager (his expression when I explained the waiting staff wasn 't paying attention to any detail was painful).
A party of just over 20 went for breakfast on Saturday morning. We only had 1 hour 15 mins before we were being picked up by a coach to go to the races. We pre ordered our food. To say the service was poor is an understatement. Smaller tables were in and out in the time we were there. After many requests for our food a charcoaled breakfast bap arrived and no other breakfasts! They came out 2 at a time with people having to eat on their own. Food was cold and the final plates came out after 1 hour and 10 mins of waiting, 5 minutes before we had to leave. We were given 20% off the bill but we would have preferred a decent breakfast. I could have understood if we ordered on the day but our pre order went in weeks ago. The building and setting is lovely. Shame about the food and service! The 2 stars were not for the food!
